1 2 ParticleFluence set-ups 3 ----------------------- 4 5 Sphere 6 ------ 7 This set-up consists of a full solid target sphere - whose radius and 8 material can be set via UI commands. 9 The primary particle is shot from the center of the target sphere 10 (along the z-axis direction by default). 11 As scoring volume, we use a thin spherical shell outside the target sphere. 12 The particle fluences are evaluated in the forward and backward hemispheres 13 (with respect to the primary particle direction). 14 15 ConcentricSpheres 16 ----------------- 17 Similar to the Sphere one, but with two larger solid target spherical shells 18 outside the first one, separated by some space filled up by G4_Galactic. 19 The dimensions of these three targets - which are meant as a simplified 20 proxy for, respectively, a Tracker (inner sphere), EM (electromagnetic) 21 calorimeter (middle spherical shell), and HAD (hadronic) calorimeter 22 (external spherical shell) - and their materials can be set via UI commands. 23 As scoring volumes, we use three thin spherical shells immediately outside 24 the inner target sphere and the two target spherical shells. 25 The particle fluences are evaluated in the forward and backward hemispheres 26 (with respect to the primary particle direction). 27 28 Layer 29 ----- 30 This set-up consists of a cylinder, with axis along the z-direction, whose 31 radius, length (i.e. thickness) and material can be set via UI commands. 32 The primary particle is shot by default along the z-axis, from behind 33 the target. 34 As scoring volumes, we use three thin cylindrical layers, filled up by 35 G4_Galactic, and placed downstream, upstream, and aside of the target 36 cylinder. 37 38 Calo 39 ---- 40 Similar to the Layer one, the target consists of a simplified cylindrical 41 hadronic calorimeter, whose properties - size, number of layers, sampling 42 fraction, active and absorber materials - can be set via UI commands. 43 Similarly to the Layer case, the the particle fluences are evaluated in the 44 downstream, upstream and aside positions.
